Engine Swap on my defender

You need to decide whether you want a LAND ROVER "DEFENDER" or something that looks like a Land Rover Defender? Plus you need to consider what you want it for ie  off roading, work horse or a daily run around?

If you know the history of the vehicle and it's only an engine swap then you know what you are getting, other wise there could be all manner of things swapped, wiring hacked for auxiliaries and the likes! Will also depend on how well you know your way around a motor, and I am guessing if you are asking this question, about as much as me!?!

Nobody is going to tell you what you should pay for this motor unseen and unknown none original engine.....If you are rich and money is no object maybe you takes a chance and learn from your mistakes or if like most of us and money counts, then think about finding something more as standard and add and remove things as you want and you know where the parts come from. Just my thoughts Cheers Andy
