Simon_CSK Posted April 30, 2020 Share Posted April 30, 2020 The pipe that feeds the oil cooler from the underside of my ZF gearbox on my P38 is slightly kinked and is leaking. The pipe has a step in in to locate into the gearbox. can I seal the pipe with PTFE tape or a rubber o ring? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Escape Posted April 30, 2020 Share Posted April 30, 2020 If it's leaking at the connection, a new O ring can only help. Maybe at some Loctite 577 or similar to fill (small) kinks. Or even liquid gasket. I wouldn't trust tape, I can't even get it to seal on water pipes half of the time (but that's probably just me 🙂 ).
