Lockdown Repair work

Recommended Posts

Hope you are all doing ok and keeping safe in these weird times!ย
So as Iโ€™m self employed Iโ€™m currently doing hee haw work and still waiting on a help from the Gov ๐Ÿ™„ย

Anyhoo, I thought I might as well try my hand at repairing the 1987 110. The worst bits are the dreaded footwells and some bulkhead bits too.ย

i know others could have done a better job but Iโ€™m kinda chuffed how the offside went. Iโ€™m currently onto the near side. Few pics for you to get your fix ๐Ÿ˜Žย

That looks tidy. Its a ****ty job to do but good to have it done!

I have a new bulkhead for mine because I cant bring myself to do the repairs you have done! Now I cant motivate myself to do the bulkhead swap because I may as well do a chassis at the same time. Then I think I know what will actually happen and the 110 will get stripped to do a panel by panel re-spray and rebuild!

Aye itโ€™s a job alright Reb78 !! Iโ€™m actually enjoying it. Learning lots and now not so scared of things like this than I used to be ๐Ÿ˜ฑย

if your chassis is in good nick maybe get on with the Bulkhead swap? But Iโ€™d say make a start and the rest will follow ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

We have 2 chassis waiting here for the travel bans to be lifted so we can get them galvanized and start a rebuild...

Thatโ€™s a fine job you have done there. Scary to see the corrosion behind those panels but l guess the vehicle is 33 years old.

How many cars last 33 years with daily use and are still running?

Itโ€™s going to be good for another thirty years when you have finished.

Thanksย lightning, wasnโ€™t able to see just how bad it was until I got the wing off. Offside wing I took off with the galvi inner wing still attached, but the nearside I separated them which was easier. I hope it does last a while after all this ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
