peter lloyd
Hi , I'm looking to replace my rear calipers due to 1 side sticking. I have looked at the service manual and it refer to plugging a T4 diagnostic machine in while doing the bleeding procedure. Is this necessary? can i not just do it the old fashioned way ?? Thanks Regards Peter
Ed Poore
I'm actually struggling to remember definitively but I'm pretty sure I did it the old fashioned way on my 2007 TDV8. Checking my sanity there's a few threads over on fullfatrr.com that at least confirm it looks to be possible.
Ed Poore
I think the only time you might need it is to wind the handbrake back in if you're replacing pads on that perhaps, although I think I just released the handbrake, disconnected battery and did it that way. But you might need a diagnostics tool to recalibrate / reset the handbrake if things don't go smoothly.

L19MUD
If you are just doing calipers and not touching the handbrake you can do it the normal way. They are a doddle to do on the rear of an L322 and bleed up easily
