3.9v8 after auto flywheel question .

I think I have this correct but wanted to get someone else’s eyes on it before I committed , this is a rebuild v8 Efi from a discovery 1. It appears to but one of the earlier interim engines 1994 . I’m am recouping with a refurbed zf auto box . While I have the discovery workshop manual it doesn’t show how the flywheel and drive plates fit together although it does give torque settings .

so the issue I have is which way the fly wheel attaches onto the crank hub and drive adapter . I have attached an image which I think is correct. The fly wheel teeth are Towards the engine , if I flip it I think it will catch on the engine casing .

any help appreciated .

Thanks Keeley,

That  entire post helps . I’m converting a 110 station wagon 2.5 n/a manual to a 3.9 v8 efi , auto box.

I’ll start a new post in the defender section. You may be my new best friend 😂
