western
Yes Kev. You will need 2.2 litres for the LT77.
monkie
Before you drain the old oil out, open the filler plug. (1) to let the oil drain more freely and (2) so you know you can get access to refill. Nothing worse than finding out you can't open the filler plug once the old stuff has drained out!
kevin50
Thanks doing Transfer Box too with EP 90, Now I can just get to it to fill, but the Gearbox looks awkward, whats the best way to fill that ? Should have done this when the Engine was off😬
western
I use 2 of these https://www.drapertools.com/product/23242/1L-Multi-Purpose-Pump I have one for axles/transfer box & one for main gearbox, the respective oils can't get mixed & filled in the wrong unit then. Retroanaconda
Don’t forget to drain the extension housing too, easily done on the LT77. If you buy a 5 litre bottle of oil it will be cheaper by the litre and you’ll get two changes out of it.

Jocklandjohn
Buy a couple of 1L bottles of EP90 and ATF with the pull-out flex pipe inside and you can use that to fill each 'box - you can get about half out of each before you need to refill from your big bottle. Basically you're buying the fluid and getting a free filler! You'll get several years use out of one before it gives up. soutie
Or purchase 2 cheap 5 litre garden sprayers. I have one with EP90 and the other with ATF. I have bent the sprayer tips to fit the filler holes and use synthetic corks with holes drilled in them to keep the sprayer tip clean. Much easier to fill as you pressurise the sprayer and then use the trigger to control how you fill the transfer box and gearbox. No more oil running down your arm as you attempt to fill the boxes.
Retroanaconda
+1 on the above. ATF is fairly thin and so flows okay through the garden sprayer. Bit slowly so takes a while to fill but far easier than faffing with squeezy bottles.
