mikeyb13
So my edis 8 module has decided to pack up and seen as they are now getting pretty thin on the ground I'm looking at other options. Has anyone used anything other than edis on their builds? Looking for suggestions/advice on what route to take. Thanks Mike
FridgeFreezer
VAG coils are the modern way - driven with low-voltage from the ECU, an easy change from EDIS. You'll need the ECU modified and a tweak to your wiring and that's about it. Nige at MSV8 can get it done. Are you sure the EDIS is dead? Very rare to hear of one failing, usually it's wiring or sensor.
mikeyb13
I have the ms3x so it's all set for low voltage coils. Definitely the edis, sending constant negative signal to the coils.
