Well that's also a good idea :lol:

However if this is the only weakness on a reasonably-priced shock it's not so bad - I'm sure back in the day Dirtydiesel was re-welding tops on ProComps before even fitting them as they were still OK for the money.

I fitted a set of new Monroe Adventure on my 110 in Namibia last year at 9am on Monday - by 5pm they were in the bin after all the seals burst on a gravel track!  My previous record for breaking shocks was five days with Terrafirmas..

Picked up the Puma yesterday with the new shocks fitted, what a massive difference, especially on the rear (where the TFs were):

the workshop also had a 110 come in last week with both rear TFs broken, same failure.
