boaterboy
The subject warning light very occasionally flashes momentarily. The handbook talks about excessive amounts of water in the fuel. A new fuel filter was fitted about 13k miles ago. Is the warning light flashing a cause for concern? What can be done about it, ie could it be for reason(s) other than excessive water in the fuel? Any advice would be gratefully received.
western
drain it via the plastic tap on the bottom, examine the wiring for any chaffing & rectify if there is any, squirt some moisture repellent into the electical plug & socket. Glue
Mine flashes when road conditions are very wet (or I'm wading) and stops when it dries out again. I get used to ignoring it.
western
putting some vaseline inside the plug/socket may help to keep the moisture out.
boaterboy
Thank you Glue and Western for your added comments. In fact, the light has not flashed again over the last 6 weeks since I noticed it first.
