Karenannie
2004 freelander auto v6 gas I just bought this piece of junk n haven't been able to drive more than bout 10 miles before cutting out no power etc. Codes read maf. I ordered new one . In the meantime I cleaned it with the special cleaner which seemed to help a few miles. Then I do it again. This last time it has stopped accelerating at all. If I get it to start then when I push on the gas it does nothing. Replaced the maf today didn't change a thing. It seemed to make a difference to turn off car then restart before too. But not this time. Cam anyone help me. Thank you. Karen
FridgeFreezer
Welcome! "gas" as in gasoline or "gas" as in it has an LPG conversion fitted?
David Sparkes
Seeing the term 'gas' I presumed American. I see the Location is given as Yucaipa, but had to look on Google.Yucaipa (/juːˈkaɪpə/ yoo-KY-pə) is a city located 10 miles (16 km) east of San Bernardino, in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Does California do LPG? I see it has standards by the Air Resources board, so I guess the 'Gasoline or LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas)' question is still open! Sorry, I cannot help further 🙂 Regards. missingsid
Is the V6 Gas engine the Ford V6 petrol engine as fitted to LR3s? If so there must be help available in the US Ah it's not its a Rover UK KV6 engine.
Escape
No, it was the Rover 2.5 unit, from before Ford took over LR.
