Wiper motor

One thing to check before you get into pulling the drive and wheel boxes and/or replacing the motor is the earth wire connection which should be a terminal under one of the motor clamp bolts . With it being a bolt into a loose nut plate there is plenty of scope for a bad earth .

As above, standard one is perfectly satisfactory when working correctly. Repair is far easier than sourcing / manufacturing an aftermarket alternative.

Does motor work ok or is it sluggish? - Check wiring and / or replace motor. Are spindles stiff / seized? - Lubricate and / or replace. Is the drive cable stiff, worn or seized in the tubing? Remove / inspect / lubricate / replace as necessary. Do arms flop around on the screen? - Check arms & spindles / replace if necessary.
