my disco air compressor starts in the mornings, then stops and also sometimes when it has been standing for a while, the motor doesnt run for long, and today after leaving it for an hour the compressor kicked in and i noticed the front of the car raise, any ideas as to the culprit?

And what makes you think there is a problem - seems normal and if you dont have any fault lights is most likely normal.  The car does level regularly and the compressor does run quite often when you are driving around.

The 'Culpret' is that it's working as it's maker intended - unlikely as this might seem in the context of Land Rover!
