Funnily enough, I noticed that the one on my P38 rear axle is looking a bit worse for wear - the retaining cable has disintegrated.

But it did get me wondering whether or not they would have any material impact on a 110's road manners? I can see that it's got potential to get knocked or damaged if off-road, but on the other hand if you're underneath temporarily removing an anti-roll bar for an off-road trip, then a couple of bolts for a harmonic damper wouldn't be a great hassle.

Are they likely to do anything noticeable on a 110, or is the vehicle just not heavy enough?

Idle curiosity on my part most likely.

I definitely noticed the difference on my P38, many years ago. As most people do, I took them off so they wouldn't get hit off-road. But using the car as a daily there was always a slight vibration, that was then solved by refitting the counterbalance.
