Rustyv8
Hi guys I have a carbed 3.5 V8 from a 1981 Range Rover in my 90. im installing a oil pressure gauge (because I just have it) and the née sender is 1/8 NPT thread so I need an adapter. Is the original one a 1/2 UNF thread or what? I can’t find much info on it thanks Alan
Rustyv8
Bump 😊 Finding conflicting info that it’s either 1/2UNF or 5/8 UNF. Anyone able to confirm it would be super helpful.. thanks guys
FridgeFreezer
There's been two different sizes, according to my old CI catalogue; XOPS60 = 1/2" x 20 UNF spade terminal, 0.2 - 0.3 bar activation pressure XOPS77 = M12 x 1.5 junior timer plug, 0.2 - 0.45 bar activation pressure (4.0 and 4.6 models) I have a feeling some of the other variants (SD1 etc.) had smaller ones that were about 1/8" BSP or NPT but that could just be common on aftermarket remote filter heads / replacement pump covers. Nashvegas
Going thru adapters/thread sizes on my 88 RRC w/ 3.5 EFI v8 now too. My oil pressure sender is 1/2"-20. My temp gauge sender is 5/8"-18. Seems the diesels have different sizes through the model run. I could not find this info accurately online. As far as I can tell, what is on mine (US market RRC) is stock, from the factory, hasn't been resized or component swapped during it's lifetime.
