2004 Land Rover Freelander questions

I've been looking for used cars on craigslist for a while now, preferably something I can run around the woods in. I found an ad for a 2004 Land Rover Freelander for $4500 with only 70000 miles on it and with a clean title.

After doing some research, I found out that they are commonly sold for around this price, but I've read reviews saying that Freelanders are nothing but trouble, and notably have coolant leaks, busted transmissions and electrical issues.

Basically, I'm wondering if Freelanders are known to be trouble cars, or if negative reviews on them are overblown.

Every car has known problems, Freelanders are no different. The known problems are easily fixed, but if they're neglected or not fixed properly they can lead to bigger / more expensive problems.
