Harry's 300Tdi LR90

Recommended Posts

I own a Land Rover 90 originally was a 200 then someone put a 300 lump in then I purchased it. Been having loads of fun until the other day the engine mounts gave way. Not a big issue as we are going to take it out make new mounts because whoever did it before didn’t do them properly. We then noticed the bell housing bolts we are missing about 3 at the bottom but we can’t get any in as they don’t line up ? Can anyone help on what I need to do ? New gearbox if so what one etc Thankyou in advance

Hi so I’ve been told I have the lt77 gearbox and the defender was a 200tdi but before I got it they put a 300tdi in it.

But yea basically the engine fell out off roading 😂 as the engine mounts gave way as they obviously didn’t make them properly to fit the 300 my mate recons so he said we will make new mounts etc. So whilst we were under the truck looking we noticed the bellhousing doesn’t line up about 4 bolts on the bottom. Sorry if this doesn’t make any sense to you guys. So whilst we have the engine out to do new mounts I want to sort this problem? Would it be a NEW gearbox to fit the 300tdi engine ?  So the trucks off the road and sort of been panicking thinking is it now ruined sort of thing so yea any help is great thank you
