Roof Luggage

Anyone any thoughts or experience of roof boxes or luggage?

I've put some  roof bars on my 90 - primarily for a canoe, but I fancy having somewhere to store camping gear, so if it’s wet it doesn’t have to come inside - plus it’s quite cramped in a 90 with the dog and the 3 of us.

My neighbour has a small folding Thule luggage that bolts to roof bars - looks really nice … but won’t fit mine. I can only have the bars either side of the alpine windows - and that’s too wide  apart for that luggage.

There are plenty of them on Amazon, like this one:

I have a thule roof bag - very useful. Tough as hell and pretty much waterproof and dustproof. Also light in weight. I tend to belt and braces though. All the sleeping bags, roll mats and clothing go up there, but in waterproof bags, in bin bags. When not in use, I flatten it down and hold it in place with a bungee
