forumguy13
We bought Alpha Equipt 18x9 wheels (Commander model). A friend with an LR4 has the same brand and size wheels on his LR4. When we went to get them mounted with new tires the tire place couldn't do it. Now, after the fact, the friend mentions that he had to grind or file down part of the calipers. He's in CO and we're in IA. Does anyone have pictures of their ground-down calipers so I know where to grind and how much material to take off? Any other suggestions besides spacers? garrycol
Buy the correct Comotive or Tuff Ant Rims that fit without modifcation.
Pawl12
You're likely to be grinding material from the most strength critical area of the caliper. My view is that you shouldn't do it! Have you checked whether fitting wheel spacers removes the foul condition ?
