Footwell Insulation

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

Looking to insulate (sound and from feet/muck) the footwells of our Defender 110 300 Tdi - 1997

Specifically the surfaces where the pedals come through the bulkhead and the vertical sides that lead into the doors.

Please could folk provide some recommendations.

We bought the Wright Offroad mat system but noticed that this does not cover the footwells higher up and the sides. I've emailed them too for suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Simon...

Got to say I quite like these (below long) I've got some of the TD5 type cut to shape in my 90. Under that on the steel itself I put some generic butyl vibration matting (non foil type).

As above use the Td5 rubber bulkhead / footwell sound deadening. On a 300tdi you will have to cut a square out to accommodate the bonnet release bracket, and space the fuse box mounting out on two of the same washers as found lifting the seat runners off the seatbox (this is what LR did on the Td5).
