defender dinky
Hi all, looking for part number for a range rover classic powersteering to alternator belt, range rover classic 1988, 3.5 efi auto, bought two so far both companies saying yes this will fit but they don't one was to long regardless of adjustment on the alternator, other one belt was to wide for the v pullies wouldn't seat right it was just sliding round eventually burnt the sides of the belt warped then snapped, there wasn't any teeth on the original belt, like the new one's, dd
Bowie69
What does the writing say on the back of the old belt?
FridgeFreezer
As Bowie says, belts have a code on them that is basically cross section shape and length in millimetres. Any motor factors should be able to match the original if you show it to them and don't tell them what it's from or give them a registration.

Width-wise I think it's pretty much 8mm, 10mm, 13mm from memory... the gates belts catalogue will give you a fair idea if you find the nearest length and size that sounds sensible.
