simonpelly
Hi Folks, Noticed some corrosion around the second row seat latches and seat belt mounts. Took the brackets off from underneath the wheel arch and cleaned off the crud/wire brushed back. The panel is mainly solid but not particularly liking the fact two of the rivets of each of the latches have corroded away underneath. Thinking how best to fix. Might proceed along the lines of removing the section marked out and get new pieces of aluminium welded in. This could then be primed and sprayed for neat finished. Would be interested to know how other folk have approached this. If I go down the path of fitting a new section of aluminium, anybody recommend someone on the SW (Bristol) that would be able to do the welding. I'm happy to cut out and prepare as needed. For the refit, I have got some new brackets from YRM with the isolating rubber strip when refitting. Thanks in advance, Simon...
miketomcat
I think yrm do a panel that just replaces the front of the wheel box not that it would be to hard to fold up. It's just riveted in place so I wouldn't bother with welding. Mike
