kevin50
Thought Id put he rear shocks on today, but as usual theres always a problem . Passenger side seems ok in first pic but on drivers side the bolt is not long enough to go through, dont know why , is it just a case of a longer bolt, or is there something wrong here ?? Probably just needs the new rubber bushes compressing, see if you can force it in until nut can be wound into thread and then nip up regards Stephen
sean f
Looking at the picture, I am guessing new springs as well??. With new springs and no weight on the back end (engine is in I assume from the exhaust) the shocks could well be at there maximum extension, if they are they will not allow the bushes to sit in fully, try sitting on the back of the chassis when you fit them it might be enough. Also as above the bushes will compress quite a bit. Final point both bolts should be the same length, I expect you have checked that already but worth making sure. missingsid
I don't know if there are different sizes of rubber bush but I had items from different makers which are slightly different sizes. Some would not compress enough as the beveled side was a steeper angle?

Checked the bolts and here is the problem. just Assumed that when you order a full kit they should send the correct parts in that kit.
