Paddy_SP
Since my 200 Tdi Defender 110 will be effectively brand new when it hits the road (hopefully not long now), I'd like the mileage reset to zero on the Td5 dash that I'm about to install. I've read almost all of the numerous threads on here about resetting the odometer - but as I didn't want to be bothered with the finer details of getting to grips with hexadecimal programming (although it's excellent, there are 14 pages of it in the main thread on the subject), I was wondering whether anything has changed in recent times (most of the threads are years old)? I've emailed Digidash, but haven't head back from them (it was last night and with today being Good Friday, so I'm not expecting to hear anything yet). Since I'm in mid-Devon, most of the specialist places are miles away - a local place wants £180 to do it, thus I'm not in a hurry to go there. The speedo is out and on the desk in front of me, so it'd be easy enough to send out by post. Are any forum members doing the above on a more affordable basis these days? As ever, any help would be most appreciated!
landroversforever
Assuming you’ve swapped to td5 speedo then? @CwazyWabbit was doing them in the past.

Paddy_SP
Thanks, Gentlemen - yes, I've got a Td5 dash binnacle to go in. As I said above, I've sent Digidash a message, but while I'm waiting for a reply, I thought I'd find out what the latest info was. I'll try contacting CwazyWabbit to see what he says. TSD
If @CwazyWabbit can't help, you can send it to me and I'll sort it, in return for a donation to one of the funds in Jez on the rescue to ukraine

Paddy_SP
Gentlemen - I thank you both for your kind offers - all taken to PM now!
ThreePointFive
For what it's worth, I did the same thing for my rebuild as it's the closest I'll ever get to owning a new Defender. You can always put it back to the right number.
Paddy_SP
I would hereby like to make it known to all forum members that TSD (Dave) has been accorded the rank of 'Superstar' in my contacts list for sorting the mileage reset on my speedo so quickly and efficiently. All I've got to do now is strip out the old binnacle and move everything into the new Raptor jobbie before I can rest it in place and admire it. Then, of course, I'll need to remove it again to finish all the horrors that lurk behind the dash...
