Drivers side window not working…

Recommended Posts

Hi, first post on here.  LR Defender 110 SW with drivers side window not working.  I have browsed several discussions about the drivers door window not working.  So far I have confirmed voltage at the switch, switch itself working although contacts were very blackened but all cleaned up.  RH switch swapped with working passenger side switch and that window still works.  Window motor confirmed working by attaching 12v to the motor direct.  Fuses all seem fine.  Removed rubber boot on A pillar and found blue wire broken however, when repaired still not working.  12v applied to the plug and window works.  Meter on fuse side of that plug and no voltage found.  That loom goes into the A pillar but I’m not sure where it goes after that.

Any idea where next to look for the problem?  Seems switch, power to the switch and motor are fine so problem is between connector in A pillar and somewhere….

Many thanks.

Andy
