Josh90SW
Evening all, i've recently bought my first Defender 90 County SW 1999. I am in no way a mechanic but am learning on the job and i am currently in the process of finding as much information as i can about it. So i started with decoding the chassis number and everything looks good so far apart from one digit. It's telling me that my me vehicle is a LHD 5 Speed Manual when in-fact it's a RHD. Does anyone happen to know whether these were misprinted or if my vehicle has actually been converted from LHD to RHD, if so how would i know? My first three digits are SAL (implying that my vehicle was for Land Rover UK) so i'm quite confused to why they would stamp it LHD obviously the UK being a RHD country, leaving me with the only option believe it to be a miss print. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Josh
