electrical problem

We have a 2007 LR3 that we put a the wolfbox mirror back up camera on. Since we put that in we have noticed that the front seat, vanity mirrors, and light in glove compartment will not work until the middle lights button is pushed on the back and front seat. When those are pushed they all have power and will work again it is very strange. There are no fuses blown and the seat relay and box are fine. We took the headline down to make sure there were no wires exposed and did not find anything with the wires exposed or touching anything because we were fishing wires through the headliner. We also uncooked everything from the rear camera and still not working. I don't know what it could be. There are no codes on the gap tool.

My bet is you have disturbed an earth connection somewhere.  It may be that it was a bit corroded  / oxidised and just touching it has broken the connection.  I'd be surprised if the earth to all those things was somewhere in the headlining - but you never know.

I would try jumping the connection to the seat to earth (since it draws the most power) and the connections are easy to access, under the seat.  If that fixes the problem, go hunting for earth connections.  Clean them then cover in petrollium jelly before reconnecting.
