Cornish Rattler
Hi guys I've always been lead to believe that Fram filter are one of the best but recently i've heared that they are rubbish, is this true 😟
Bowie69
There was a time where they were found to be terrible in the US, probably fixed by now.
Nonimouse
The Yanks still ridicule them. I tend to avoid them, simply because of the bad rep. I use Mahl, Cooper or OEM
Bowie69
Yup, with options, why risk it?
smallfry
When I worked in the Agri and plant industry, we used to sell OE, Crossland, and Fram, and the amount of customers who wouldnt buy OE fuel filters "because they block up too quick" you wouldnt believe. Dont know about now because I have been out of it for 25 years, but Wix, Fram, and Crossland were ones to be avoided. I only fit Mahle (Knecht) , Mann & Hummel, AC Delco, and Coopers, and of course OE.
Quagmire
Another vote for Mahle here
western
I only use Mahle filters on my 200tdi now since it's rebuild nearly 4 years ago.
monkie
I've used many different makes of filters over the years and the only one I've had problems with was a Crossland fuel filter on my 19J engine. I've used Fram filters on several of my vehicles without issue
