LCSW1
Hi, I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I am restoring a 1986 Land Rover 90 CSW and am having trouble with the rear propshaft. The propshaft has leaked grease which has spun out inside the tunnel. The small rubber cap at the end of the propshaft (under the UJ) is missing and this is where the grease is coming out. The propshaft is in good condition and the UJ’s are all good. Is it possible to just replace the small rubber cap? I can’t find it referenced anywhere. western
The rubber grease seals are part of the uj & are only available with new uj's. Would be best move to replace the uj because it will fail if the lubrication can escape.
TSD
Not sure if the OP meant the cap for the sliding joint? That would be STC2955 / TVE100000 if the propshaft is original, otherwise too many variations to guess at. https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-rover-defender-axles-suspension/propshafts/propshaft-rear_52612
