Dan Lewis
My wife’s 2006 Freelander 2 has failed its MOT due to a corroded subframe. I’ve potentially lined up a repair at a cost of around £1500 to £2000 but am wondering if it’s worth it. The car has done in the region of 125k miles. Anyone got any ideas about selling it as a repair project or break for parts? Seems a shame to lose it because it drives really well and has 4 new tyres…
FridgeFreezer
Have you checked eBay etc. for breakers selling subframes? Could be a cheaper fix.
Maverik
Is the cost associated with a weeks repair or parts change? As fridge says there should be plenty of 2nd hand parts around.
