inchman Posted August 17, 2022 Share Posted August 17, 2022 Hi all. My 2004 td5 defender has developed a whine above 30mph when accelerating. It goes away when cruising or freewheeling. Removed both drive shafts in turn and no difference. It happens in 3rd 4th and 5th gear. Think is it transfer box or gearbox.
