2000 Td5 central locking/immobiliser

Hi all,

Came to my car this morning to get some stuff out and the key fob would not work, changed the fob battery and tried the lock/unlock sequence to reprogram it but not joy.

the drivers door lock is either seized or is a different key to the ignition so I couldn’t get in that way either.

managed to get in by carefully bending the passenger door top and pushing the central locking button with a stick.

all doors unlocked and locked from the button so im happy the mechanics of the system are working.

however once in I was totally unable to turn off the immobiliser as the car still wouldn’t register the key fob

im thinking it’s the receiver unit in the rear headlining that I need to be looking at?

or any other suggestions before I load the parts cannon?
