Loose EDIS Wire

Recommended Posts

After a visit into the workshop after (another) long lay off, I wondered why the old girl wouldn’t fire up. Not so much as a fart, fizz or bang.

Anyway after mucho head scratching and drinking of Heineken I traced it to a loose wire in EDIS connector. See inserted needle.

How do I go about removing this wire and redoing crimp?

On the inside of the plug there is a red locking piece, this needs removing and then using special terminal removal tool of unknown description release the pin and withdraw from the back.

I'm sure you can get new pins, but can't remember where from, can probably identify them once out fairly easily.
