TD5 Registration plate Light wiring connector

Recommended Posts

This is probably one for @PaulMc but @western might beat him to it.....

Some fat fingered thug managed to pull this wire out of the connector when disconnecting it.

My Google Fu is weak and I cannot find an obvious link to replace it like for like. Can anyone help with a part number or suitable replacement please?

I can supply that connector (AFU3635) - or, if the connector housing is OK, just terminals and seals.

With that connector and the wire colours, that should be for your number plate light.

Looks like it - the frame in the photo is a rear bench seat, the rear door sill is just visible in the bottom left of the shot and the seatbelt would be anchored between the bench seat and the rear left light interior cover panel.

Thanks @PaulMc - you have a PM.

Also thanks for pointing out yet more fat fingeredness on my part - it is indeed the number plate light, not the reversing light.

If @western could edit the thread title it might help people searching in the future (and save me from more ridicule! :D )

  • western changed the title to TD5 Registration plate Light wiring connector

With thanks to @PaulMc for excellent service, the new connector with seals and crimps is here, along with an excellent photographic guide to how to assemble all the bits in the right order.👍 Thanks Paul.
