gelf
My 200 tdi has develpoed a starting problem........ ive traced it to the brown wire from the starter soleniod which then (according to the wiring diagram) goes to a fusable link.....cant find it though or trace the wire to it. so where are they?? on a 300tdi there under the bonnet. have rigged up a temp wire so i can now start it... but i want to sort it properly. thanks graham
imspanners
Folow the battery+ wire from the battery along the inner wing. Under the tape you'll see some net style material covering the wires. These are the fusible links. Cut the netting off at either end and grab each wire where it's soldered to the main loom. Give a good tug, and you'll find they seperate due to corrosion. A replacement battery loom with fusible links in is available from LR.
