IF it is the same one that Terrafirma used to sell I remember Nige building one for a chap in New Zealand and being fairly impressed with it (nice big cross pin and minimal run out on the crownwheel flange).

It's the same type as one they either sell or used to sell from when they bought out KAM diffs. But there's no way I'd trust one coming from aliexpress or anywhere else with the HF branding. Even more so when they're got so expensive.

That blew itself apart and no spares available

we will not build the terrafirma e lockers now if asked

Big, chunky parts are useless if they’re made of cheese, and anything Chinese or Indian will be.  Nige’s response clears up any doubt.

The rear axle in my hilux has an electric locker, which I find very good. I have a vague memory of toyota axle internals fitting in LR axles with minor work. I don't think the hilux axle has changed much in millennia and as the base spec versions are the only one fitted with an E-locker, they tend to end up as breakers more often

@Hybrid_From_Hell I'm sure posted that he'd opened at least one HF locker to find swarf . I wouldn't trust one as door stop.

Yup, swarf, and on a certain branded e-locker sold in the uk, one gear had 3 x shims behind it to take up slack

There is a reason these are so cheap - and it's not that they are a bargain. Try getting spares ....

Just buy a ashlocker ffs best locker for a Lasnd rover money can buy.

period
