eddie c
I've bought a chassis/rollcage which used to be a trials motor but was stripped of all parts. I've got all the running gear from a 3.5 1971 Range Rover manual. I've fitted the front and rear axles, suspension and steering without any problems, but the engine and gearbox looks a very large lump to fit into my chassis which is only 80 inch wheelbase. I've been told i need a 101 bell housing and mainshaft. Does anyone know if this is correct and if so, where I might get them? ED
Steve Hiatt
This will 'shorten' the gearbox by 4.5 inches. I have a spare bellhousing and input shaft and would want £120 plus post
eddie c
Thanks for the offer Steve, I will trial fitting the engine and box at the weekend to see what we have modify, and will get back to you regarding parts. ED
FridgeFreezer
Would it be any shorter to use a 4-pot LT77 and a V8 adapter plate? Just wondering as the LT95 is a big bugger.
eddie c
We are going to trial fit it this weekend, but I think we may have problems with length ED
