Guest diesel_jim
I've always wanted to overland into Africa, one day i will pop across the water from our place in Southern Spain and do it, but the main reason for posting here is that no one else has, so i wanted to "break the seal" of this forum!! MarkieB
I'll say hi to Africa too, as I drove as far as Mauritania in the spring, in a 2wd, thinking I'd try the full journey one day. Looks as though it'll be put off though unless the new regime in Mauri is surprisingly friendly. Still, there's the air at least
JimAttrill
Hello to you all from Jo'burg. Seems like the LRe forum culprits are emigrating here. Is that forum about to close down or what?
Aubrey
Hi Diesel Jim Not really easy to miss us down south. Exit your driveway (prefer in a LR off course) and turn south. Just drive until you find a crossing ...... unlikely without some flotation assistance ....when you hit land again that is Africa. The furthers south you continue, the closer you will get to us in South Africa. A word of caution, when you hit sea again ....don't cross again as that is Antartica and could play havoc if you don't use winter diesel. Pop over anytime ..... We are going nowhere Aubrey
Mehetabel
Pop over anytime ..... We are going nowhere ^^ as long as you ignore plate tectonics
