Dark green 90 Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 A mate has a def 90 td5 and i am asking for info on his behalf driving along the engine warning light appears and engine goes to idle mode turn off,restart all ok he says its happened about 4 times in the last month Is there some obvious/easy things he can check before taking to the dealer? cheers Pete. western Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Red engine icon is for the immobiliser Amber icon is on during start for about 3 secs as a bulb check, if it appears at any other time, avoid high speeds & seek quailfied assistance soon as possible from mt 2000 Td5 RAVE info. could be a intermittent fault with the engine ecu.
