oil leaks at mot time.

Recommended Posts

I've had a car fail for oil leaks.

To be fair, it was leaking at

Rocker cover

oil filter

sump

turbo

pas reservoir

both swivels

both diffs

took it home, a tin of gunk, a hosepipe and a short drive back to the test centre and it passed

He can issue a 'refusal to test' form before the test commences "if, in his opinion an examination of the vehicle would involve a danger of injury to any person or damage to the vehicle or other property."

(from the intro to the MOT inspection manual)

I'd say that would have to be a lot of oil though.
