Les Henson
There is an advisory on any oil leak now, but the only time an oil leak will fail the MOT is if it affects something that does come under the MOT regs, such as brakes or tyres. Turbocharger
He can issue a 'refusal to test' form before the test commences "if, in his opinion an examination of the vehicle would involve a danger of injury to any person or damage to the vehicle or other property." (from the intro to the MOT inspection manual) I'd say that would have to be a lot of oil though.

Ex Member
Oil leaks are the only think preventing them from rusting away. I just assumed it was designed that way.
