Tells how the sunspots have been changing the worlds temp from the beginning of time. And not CO2 Interesting Video weither you belive it or not. But certain a brand new way for a Goverment to claim more tax . After all they are taking more tax from you all , but what are they doing with the Tax they call for Green Issues. Nothing to do with anything to stop the CO2 Gobal warming

Corrode Finger
Best learn how to use a good old fashioned map again too. IIRC, increased sunspot activity also causes increased electro magnetic activity from the sun, which means that all the GPS satellites go slightly mad!!! Could be fun watching all the muppets driving into rivers, and needing rescuing by evil 4x4's!!
simonr
Probably some good lift conditions too - (for those nerdy types in the know!). In the last high in the sunspot cycle, I could get a good proportion of the world on 50Mhz at only 1/2w (with a DIY Transverter). I also spoke to someone in Bulgaria with just a handheld 2m rig while sitting on the M25 - which was a surprise to both of us! He could hear the WL repeater. pugwash
They say that over the last century the number of sunspots rose at the same time that the Earth's climate became steadily warmer. This trend is being amplified by gases from fossil fuel burning, they argue. I love this- it's such shoddy science. What they mean to say is that there is a clear link between sun spot activity and mean atmospheric temperatures (as later in the article where they say that in the middle ages there was very little sunstop activity and we had a mini ice age). Instead they make out that sunspot activity is mostly irrelevant and it's fossil fuels which are the major problem!
