candpdoyle
Hi There Just realised the other night that my glow plugs are not working. Have recently fitted the sherpa lump and sort of dimly remember someone saying they are wired up without the balast resister?? The engine starts fine and will only smoke on colder mornings so is not a train smash, but i would like to wire them up properly if anyone can talk me through or even better has some pics Cheers in advance Chris
Phil Hancock
Put the wire from the back heater plug to the starter switch side of the old ballast resistor, the warning light wire(thin one) that was also on the opposite end of the resistor to the starter switch wire wants to go on the resistor mounting bolt to earth it and change the bulb from a 6V item to a 12V. Job done.
candpdoyle
Cheers Phil As you said, job done. All seems fine. BUT, is there anyway of testing that they actualy are working as they should be? Chris
