FridgeFreezer
Can someone post an EPC piccy or take a piccy of the seats in their defender? I bolted mine down (defender seats on a defender seatbox) but it seems you need a spacer under the runners to allow the sliding mechanism to move - I just need to know how it's supposed to be in a normal defender, is there a stack of washers or a special spacer bit or what? I have used two washers for now but it still seems less than ideal Being a Series owner I'm unaccustomed to this sort of shoddy quality
Top90
Can't take a pic, but all mine are on 5mm thick spacers.
LandyManLuke
Microcat only shows one M8 washer. I'll have a look at the 90 later.
Happyoldgit
Just build it up with washers.
Les Henson
The fixing bolts are m8 coarse thread, so m8 washers would form a tidy column. The spacers are about 8mm long if I remember right. Les.
Happyoldgit
This is how Land Rover do it...
Tomas
And here is how I did it. Spaced with 1/2 could water pipes sprayed black. You'll need to replace the holding screws for longer onses as well. This solution will hive you an extra 2 cm clearance in the cabin and better view on the dash board controls.
FridgeFreezer
God bless British engineering thanks MoG, that means I need some more washers then as mine are only normal penny washers Tomas - are you 02GF74 in disguise? It's about time we had a new champion of copper pipe!

Kev Baldwin
Got a ton of those damned seat spacer washers as left-overs from customer MUD Rail installations. I'd be happy to post you out some FOC if you want some? They normally have two spacers/washers under each mounting. Kev

FridgeFreezer
If I had any beer money (or any money at all) left I'd go for Mud rails, as it is Kev you have a PM about washers

FridgeFreezer
Dunno about out driving as I don't think the brake kit is here yet but thanks to some shopping today I have a lot of little bits to get ticked off over the next few days. And you can't talk either, you've got an MOT and I haven't seen yours driving about yet
