Mo Murphy
A chum has a 200 disco with a brake problem. Sometimes (not all the time) the brake pedal will stay down after application and has to be levered up with the foot ! It has had new pads, discs and resealed calipers yet the problem remains. He thinks it's the servo but I'm not so sure. Anyone experienced this before ? Mo
mpb
I had a very similar problem with the clutch pedal on my Vivaro Van sticking down. It turned out the master cylinder was on it's way out. So Id look at your bake master cylinder. Check the colour of the fluid, if its black the seals could be braking up.
Les Henson
I would say master cylinder seals are failing. If the pedal can travel too far, then the return spring 'goes over' and holds the pedal down. You need a lot of pedal travel for it to do that. Try bleeding the system. Les. western
I agree with Les, time for a new master cylinder
