derodster
Hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me is there 12v live anywhere in the cabin on a 94disco when the ignition is off. I will be looking but maybe someone has been down this road before. I want to run some radio gear and it would be nice to have a 12v source for charging batteries/phones etc and i would prefer not to go thru the firewall if i can avoid it ta R
BogMonster
If you mean a transceiver then the advice is always to wire direct to the battery or at least the engine compartment fuse box. It really isn't hard - there is space in the various grommets that go through the bulkhead into the engine compartment. My Icom VHF is wired this way. derodster
ok so its straght thru the bulkhead then. Yes its for transceiver. I did go to the battery on my 90 but its a bit easier to get to the battery on it. made up a lead with an outlet box on the end - couple of terminals and a 12v dc car socket. now i know what my project for the weekend is :-) adios Rod
