Stewart
Hi All I'm looking at ways of making my lwb series 3 2,25 petrol better, as you have maybe seen in previous posts I have been asking about overdrives and Range Rover diffs. Has any one had any thing to do with Turner engineering. I have been looking at there performance cylinder heads. All feed back gratefully received. Tonk
i know that turner does staged cylinder heads but no idea what sort of power increase they offer. i've used them a few times and IMO they know what they are talking about.
Lars L
Since you wrote all feedback... I have no experience with their petrol engine heads, but I got myself one for my 2,5 NAD. The head together with some tweaking of the pump did wonders. It pulled much stronger than before and kept the speed uphill where it previously used to drop considerably. philbert
i've got a turner stage 1 head on my 2.25 petrol. while it gives a power increase the biggest difference is in torque. more pulling power, holds gears longer on hills,oh and a better milage . hope that helps

mad_pete
I had the cylinder head - SU carb and cam shaft on series 2A it was awesome. It would go off the clock ( although with no seatbelts and drum brakes no the best idea ). Technically you don't have to change anything. It can be a straight swap. I had a weber before but I couldn't get the mix right with the cylinder head on.

Stewart If you're a cheap skate (like me) skim your current head by 125thou, port match it and if you feel confident you can do a bit of gas flowing as well. The retard the timing a bit. I would also highly recomend a weber carb and a K+N type air filter, normally I would say they were a waste of time but on a 2.25 it works wonders. Not a huge power increase on a clean oil bath but low maintainance and the sound, ahhhh!
