Michele
Font apart,I think it's too an ubiquitous (is it a word?) motto I like Neil's variant, although too clearly "Pirate",but it works. I'd like to try with the right fonts, moving blocks around and see... But I also stick to my original version! Too many posts,I'm gonna get fired one of these days... LR90
Hey, this is looking good. series graphic with LR4x4.com 'The only forum you need' I'd preffer it it we could keep the LR4x4.com in the chrome effect at least as this reflects our shiney new home and the quality tools we wield to fix our trucks. simonr
The LRE sticker was a good bit of graphic design. Few colours, simple block shapes and instantly recognisable. It also said what it was. It has an iconic quality - like the tube map. I'm sorry, but the Series grill idea just looks a mess! It has been done to death, but what about something along the same lines tyre tread pattern? What simple shapes are instantly recognisable as a land rover? Headlights & grill - has been done. What about headlight & side lights, the rear light cluster with the curved bit of body that sticks out, the shape of the bonnet, split windscreens.... the list is endless. Les Henson
The problem with bits of bodywork is that it identifies one particular model or range of L/R and so may give the wrong impression to people that see the logo. The only identifier that says that we cover them all is the name and the ovel badge. Les.
landi41
Log on to (LR) 4x4.com!!! Thats the one............. but does anyone really drive around with a notebook in hand writing down URL's to check out later? I think "stickers" are cool for how they look...not what they say............... Michele's LRE one is a case in point.......waaaaay cool
Neil Marshall
I think "stickers" are cool for how they look...not what they say.Michele's LRE one is a case in point.......waaaaay cool Dave, I think you've hit it on the nose - it's the impact not the detail that counts. Given that Michele is probably tearing his hair out in frustration, can I suggest that we ask him to produce a couple of designs and then select one....otherwise we are trying to design by Committee, and we will end up with a compromise mess of a sticker.
