OilIT
hi can anybody tell me, is the lt77 gearbox different for left hand drive or right hand drive vehicles (specifically in regard to handbrake set up?) Somebody has just told me they have a lt77 in a defender where the handbarke set up is on the wrong side of the box - i would have thought LR would have a universal box. Any insight much appreciated !
Anglo-Frenchman
Hi, I drive a LHD Defender with an LT77 and the handbrake is most definately on the LHS of the transmission tunnel - I think that to have it otherwise would be almost impossible to drive. western
handbrake will be nearest the driver, it's only connected to the brake by a cable & the handbrake assembly brackets are bolted to the seatbox, so it's not a major job to swap it from RHD to LHD at the factory, seatbox is most likely setup for this too, with blanked off holes pre-positioned.
