I have a friend who can make me a couple of spreader plates for my newly aquired Nato Hitch.

Does anyone here have a diagram, drawing or a plan showing the required dimensions of the plates and location/diameter of the holes.

(I'm putting a plate on both the front and rear of the crossmember)

I'm knowhere near my Landie at the moment co can't get to measure it up :(

Any help appreciated

The plate is about 5 or 6mm thick IIRC. not sure about the external dimension, but it's only got to fit in the gap behind the crossmember.

the holes for the hitch bolts are:

13/4" x 33/8" (thats 44.5mm x 85.72mm)

diameter is 9/16" (14.27mm)

these are taken from the dixon bate spec sheet for the hitch.

Hi,

made this for mine, IIRC.......

Outer plate 200 x 140 x 10mm, drilled 86x44.5, holes positioned central & 40mm down from top edge.

Inner plate 200 x 130 x 10mm, centralized (5mm top/btm).

Drilled 13mm dia & secured with M12 bolts.
