Exmoor Beast Posted June 15, 2007 Share Posted June 15, 2007 Just met a chap with a problem. TD5 90 X-plate. Sounds like his fuel pump is shot, its whirring really loudly. Common problem? BogMonster Posted June 15, 2007 Share Posted June 15, 2007 yes a common problem, noisy fuel pumps usually are on their way out! pain in the bum to replace on a Defender as you need to drop the fuel tank Alternative method is to cut a hole in the floor and make a plate to cover it, that is what a Discovery has under the carpet Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
