Martin90
My Mazda has a heater box on the plenum intake rather than glow plugs, am I right in thinking this just needs to be on during cranking rather than before as with glow plugs? It's fed from the live terminal on the stater motor but goes through a relay (photo). Shall I just connect the relay feed to the ignition starter terminal on the starter solenoid? Cheers, Martin
Ex Member
No, they should act very much like glow plugs. It needs to be on before cranking just like a glow plug. The normal manual or automatic glow plug systems would work fine.
